This box hedge is in excellent condition and shows no sign of the blight which has damaged hedges in other regions. It is deliberately unkempt and totals about 25 metres which will probably trim down to a 50 x 50 centimetre cross section. We are in the process of redesigning the rear garden and plan to remove the box hedge and lawn the area. It is hard to value the hedge but new plants of similar cross section seem to cost about £150 per metre. Since the buyer would be responsible for "digging up" the hedge I thought 20% of the new cost would be appropriate - hence the price.
